What was your main focus when designing your kitchen?
We wanted a family-friendly kitchen with a modern design and spacious feel. We wanted to work with the natural light that organically flows through the window so a design that could champion this was our goal. We also wanted to invest in the space we had, rather than spend money on a disruptive extension.
Which of our services did you get the most out of?
We loved having our own designer, Kim, who produced amazing designs of our new kitchen – bringing our vision to life.
How has Magnet transformed your space?
Magnet transformed our outdated living room into the open-plan, modern, country-kitchen we’ve always wanted! It’s truly the heart of our home and a real family hub.
How was the installation process?
The team at Magnet were amazing when it came to installation - everything was delivered and installed safely and securely during the lockdown, in keeping with Government guidelines.
Laura and Rian Crombies’ kitchen transformation combined a carefully crafted design alongside an elegant colour palette to produce a magnificent and practical, country-chic retreat.
After deciding against their initial plans to spend £30,000 on a grand kitchen extension, the Crombies decided instead to invest in their current space as they spent more time at home. By switching their oversized lounge with their compact kitchen, the team at Magnet brought their vision to life. The Crombies’ old kitchen became a cosy formal lounge, and we transformed their unloved lounge area into the open-plan kitchen-diner that they had always dreamed of.
Laura, whose vision it was to own an elegant, yet family-friendly kitchen, wanted the space to adopt a more suitable and practical layout. We achieved this through the implementation of a large kitchen island and an open plan dining area, opting for multi-functional storage units to maximise the space. This allowed more flexibility for the family to socialise and for their daughter Ruby to play.
The Crombies opted for dual-toned Shaker units alongside classic Quartz worktops, giving the kitchen a modern twist on a traditional design. This further amplified the country-chic feel that they had envisioned.
Magnet’s expert designers ensured that quality was of top priority throughout, from the initial intricate designs to the expert installation, making the Crombies’ dream a reality.
