Why did you choose Magnet?
We were utterly impressed by the range of virtual services that Magnet made available to us, from selecting our colour palette to choosing our layout and deciding what appliances suited our family’s needs.
Chris was completely thorough in his approach and has created a stunning kitchen which we will love for many years to come.
What was your main focus when designing your kitchen?
We knew we wanted a sleek, modern design that would blend seamlessly into the rest of our stylish home, whilst being durable and easy to clean as five-year-old Alfie is a budding baker in the kitchen.
The deep Midnight shade added a touch of drama to the room and ensured it was practical, but still magnificent to look at.
How did you decide on the colours and styles used in your design?
We love timeless, classic styles with a modern twist. So, the flat frontal door is modern but the Midnight blue colour also feels like one that won’t date.
Blue is such a calming, serene colour and this particular shade adds an extra layer of luxury to the space.
Blue is also one of our favourite colours as a family, so we had to choose something that we naturally loved from the start.

The story
After moving into a new property four years ago, the Tyldesley family decided that it was time to install their dream kitchen to make them fall in love with their home all over again.
Catherine and Tom worked closely alongside Magnet’s Sale branch to create their perfect family kitchen safely and securely through Magnet’s virtual design service.
The Tyldesley family’s kitchen journey began by booking a virtual design appointment with Chris, one of Sale’s dedicated designers.
From there, Catherine, Tom and Chris talked through the vision via video call where Magnet’s state-of-the-art technology allowed the couple to design their new space, with the help of Chris’ expert eye and wealth of knowledge.
The family sought after a sleek and stylish space that was a beautiful blend of modern entertaining space and family hub. '
Chris recommended Magnet’s latest Luna colourway, Midnight, as this impactful shade adds some serious style credentials to the kitchen and its matt finish, J-Pull doors ensures it will be sparkling after a simple wipe.
To balance this decadently dark design, Chris advised the Tyldesleys to choose Lagoon white Quartz worktops and chrome accents to bring some light back into the space and showed them how this would look through detailed CAD designs.
They also took advantage of Magnet’s sample service to witness how the colourway and style would work in the actual environment.
Upon receiving their delivery and seeing the samples in their home, the Tyldesleys knew that the Luna Midnight was the perfect choice for them.
The heart of the Tyldesleys’ family home now boasts a whole host of AEG integrated appliances, plus an on-trend wine cooler, state-of-the-art coffee machine and 3-in-1 hot tap.
The 25-unit Luna kitchen is packed with storage solutions, including integrated bins and innovations to use every corner of space.
A space that the Tyldesleys can use together as a family, or a charming escape for just Catherine and Tom.
