The kitchen is the hub of the home, from breakfast to dinner and even homework. We visited two TV mums, Julia Bradbury and Cherry Healey, to find out what makes their kitchen so special and how Christmas day cooking unfolds.
This Christmas our new television advert celebrates all the special family memories that are made in the kitchen, from life-changing events to tiny day-to-day moments, so we asked Julia and Cherry to share some of their top kitchen memories.
We popped in to see Julia Bradbury in her kitchen ahead of Christmas. The Bradbury household all lend a hand when it comes to cooking their festive fare. Julia’s mum takes care of the roast potatoes, while others are drafted in to lay the table and prepare the vegetables.
The Bradbury Christmas feast isn’t complete without bread sauce and lashings of gravy – Julia serves Yorkshire puddings with her dinner too for an extra treat.
Cherry Healey also pulls in her mum’s help to cook and create her family Christmas dinner. Preparing the meal gives them a chance to have a good natter whilst the children play with their new toys.
Cherry’s most cherished kitchen memory is celebrating the first night in her new house with the family whilst sharing a huge homemade lasagne.
The kitchen is the heart of Cherry’ home, and her favourite thing to do is congregate and cook a big batch of pasta for the whole family to help themselves, while sharing stories of their day.
The Healey household can often be found in the kitchen indulging in a hearty chicken pie during the winter time.
We hope you’ve enjoyed the fly on the wall look at Julia and Cherry’s kitchen lives. Chatting about the day’s events and cooking up some gorgeous grub makes the kitchen the hub of every home.
