Ideal Home Awards 2025 — Celebrating timeless and contemporary design
In 2025, Magnet received two further honours at the Ideal Home Awards, recognising our continued commitment to thoughtful design, craftsmanship and beautifully liveable kitchens.
Our Ludlow kitchen in Parchment and French Clay was awarded Best Classic Kitchen, while our Integra Nordic Nature and Brunswick Sumi Black kitchen was Highly Commended for Kitchen of the Year.
Ludlow was recognised for its timeless blend of classic elegance and modern practicality. The range combines framed timber cabinetry, heritage detailing and a sophisticated palette to create a warm, refined family space designed for modern living.
Meanwhile, Integra Nordic Nature and Brunswick Sumi Black celebrated contemporary kitchen design at its most balanced — pairing Scandinavian warmth with industrial-inspired detailing, textured finishes and intelligent storage solutions to create a calm, architectural space full of character.
Ideal Home Sustainability Award 2023 — Mindful World
In 2023, our Mindful World concept received Ideal Home’s coveted One Small Step Towards Sustainability award, recognising our commitment to more future-focused kitchen design.
Designed with responsibly sourced and recycled materials, Mindful World combined Scandinavian-inspired craftsmanship with innovative sustainable features — including FSC-certified timber drawers, recycled PET frontals, recycled sea-plastic handles and energy-efficient appliances.
The award reflected our belief that exceptional kitchen design should not only look beautiful, but support better living for years to come.
Ideal Home Awards 2024 — Best Use of Colour
In 2024, Magnet was recognised by the Ideal Home Awards for Best Use of Colour, celebrating our confident yet considered approach to kitchen design.
Featuring a hand-painted palette of Burlington Red, Chalk Blush and Harvest, the award-winning space demonstrated how colour can transform the kitchen into somewhere deeply personal, expressive and full of warmth.
Layering rich red tones with soft blush hues and sun-infused yellow accents, the design balanced bold creativity with timeless sophistication — creating a space that felt uplifting, welcoming and beautifully individual.
As Ideal Home’s Heather Young commented, the kitchen was “a perfect example of how being brave with colour will pay off”, bringing character, personality and joy into the heart of the home.
Ideal Home Kitchen of the Year 2022 — Nordic Nature
In 2022, our Nordic Nature concept kitchen was crowned Kitchen of the Year, recognised for its exceptional blend of design, craftsmanship and natural materials.
Inspired by the landscapes of the Nordics, Nordic Nature embraced biophilic design principles to create a calming, beautifully functional kitchen space centred around natural textures, warm oak finishes and tactile fluted detailing.
Featuring responsibly sourced timber, sculptural rounded forms and thoughtfully integrated lighting, the design balanced contemporary minimalism with warmth and comfort — designed to enhance everyday wellbeing.
The award celebrated Magnet’s ability to combine innovative design, purposeful functionality and sustainable thinking into a kitchen concept that feels both timeless and deeply connected to modern living.
