Declaration

  • I have completed this application form truthfully and to the best of my knowledge
  • I understand that any offer made by Magnet Ltd. will be subject to the inspection of work previously carried out
  • I agree to allow Magnet Ltd. to build a retention ‘Bond’ of £1500.00. This will be accumulated at £75.00 per installation invoice with a value of over £1000.00 until the full value has been retained. The amount is repayable, subject to liabilities incurred, 12 months after the final invoice payment has been made. This ‘Bond’ will need to be claimed by you after the 12 months has elapsed.
  • I agree to allow Magnet Ltd. to deduct the TrustMark affiliation fee (currently £75.00p.a) from the above Bond on an annual basis.
  • I understand that it is my TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that:
  • Any installation work to be undertaken involving gas will ONLY be undertaken by a Gas Safe Registered engineer in accordance with the Gas Safety, Installation and Use, Regulation.
  • Any electrical work that involves amending a circuit will ONLY be undertaken by a Registered electrician.
  • I understand that, if I employ or sub-contract any work on a Magnet installation to a third party, I will be FULLY responsible for vetting these personnel in accordance with the Consumer reassurance section above.
  • I understand that I, and any sub-contractors I may use, will need to undertake work in accordance with the terms of this agreement.
  • I understand that, if I wish to change any detail within this application, I MUST notify Magnet Ltd and provide the relevant documentation.
  • I understand that, should an installation not be carried in part or in full to the required standard by me/my contractors, I will be liable for a reduction of the invoice value, or a debit note the funds for which will be deducted form invoices due, or the Bond at Magnet’s discretion.
  • I understand that, if any aspect of this application is found to be false, then Magnet Ltd. will immediately cease allocating work and suspend any/all payments pending investigation.
  • I agree that Magnet Ltd (or their appointed agent) may undertake credit vetting.

Process - overview 

  • Any lead will be vetted by the Area Installation Manager (AIM) by telephone.
  • Link sent to prospective installer
  • Installer completes and submits with supporting documents
  • Central Installation Office (CIO) distributes the application.
  • AIM will arrange to visit the prospective installer to view kitchen installation work, to view and verify the driver’s licence, the passport (or other right to work documents).
  • AIM will complete a recruitment audit (a copy of which will be held with the application on file)
  • If successful, the installer will be introduced to the local store team and allocated two jobs.
  • The AIM will review the process with the installer and obtain the Protocol and Installer agreement documents.
  • These two jobs will be audited and signed off by the AIM.
  • If satisfactory, the installer may be allocated more jobs.
